Trip Rules


Here are the main rules for all Generate Student Ministry Events and activities.  Students and parents are expected to be familiar with all of the following information prior to participating in any event or activity.

Conduct

  • No alone time with members of the opposite sex...NONE
  • Represent Christ with every action you exhibit
  • Sponsors and Adult Volunteers are to be obeyed, failure to do this could result in your going home early
  • You are expected to participate in everything the group does
  • You will abide by all rules (stated here as well as the ones that may be specific to a particular activity)
  • Inappropriate conduct will result in a warning.  Multiple warnings or one major offense will result in your being sent home or parents contacted immediately
Personal Electronics

  • Cell phones:
    • are only to be used for contacting other members of our group during the trip.
    • other uses (phone calls or texting with people who aren't on the trip) are prohibited and will result in your phone being taken for the rest of the trip.
  • No Internet Use by a student on any personal electronic device will be tolerated NONE WHATSOEVER! 
  • MP3 players are allowed.  Only appropriate music may be listened to. If at any point inappropriate music is found being lidten to, the device wil be confiscated for the rest of the trip.  You may ask a sponsor if music is "appropriate"
  • CDs (same rules as MP3 players)
  • Cameras and Video Cameras: If used responsibly, are fine to bring.
  • No other personal allowed. (DVD players, PDA, Laptops, Video Games, Etc.) Don't even pack them.
Dress Code
  • When you pack, think about Jesus...this should help.  Your goal is to represent Christ andMODESTLY present your body to the world
  • Please, ladies, no low cut shirts or tight/revealing clothes
  • No offensive t-shirts
  • Bathing suits: (if applicable). 
    • Ladies: Your option include 
      • One-piece bathing suits 
      • Tankini that shows no midriff 
      • a dark t-shirt/cover-up over a two-peice.  
    • Guys: get one that fits and isn't falling off
Medicines and Consumable Substances
  • Food: must remain in appropriate locations as determined for each event
  • Medication must be used in full knowledge of a sponsor
  • Tobacco: bring it or use it and go home immediately 
  • Alcohol:  bring it or use it and go home immediately 
  • No-Legal Sunstances: bring it or use it and go home immediately as well as face criminal charges
Additional Inappropriate Items
  • You may not posses any firearms or explosive (even small fireworks)
  • You may not posses any fire-starting tools (lighters, matches, etc.)
  •  You may not posses andy pranking items 
  • Don't push the limits... think before you pack, think before you act.
